Resources

Resources are the currencies of They Are Billions. They allow you to pay for everything in the game from units, to buildings, to research. Seizing control of them subsequently exploiting and spending resources as fast and efficiently as possible is the key to rapid expansion and ultimately victory.

Types

Non-Stockpileable Resources

This loose category contains resources that determine the efficiency and productivity of your colony:

  • Colonists, the total population.
  • Workers, used to operate buildings.
  • Food, consumed by colonists.
  • Energy, powering the colony's buildings.

Storable Resources

These resources can be produced or collected and then stored in the colony:

  • Gold, used for everything.
  • Wood, used in construction, low-end military units, defenses, and to fuel the power plant.
  • Stone, used in construction, low-end military units, and defenses
  • Iron, used for soldiers and high-end buildings.
  • Oil, used for the highest end upgrades, units, and buildings.

These resources are produced continuously, delivered every eight hours (in game time). They are spent when you build, repair structures, or train soldiers. Most buildings have a permanent gold cost (the salary of the workers inside). Some of them, like the Power Plant, require a permanent input of wood and stone to produce energy.
