They are Billions is a real-time strategy game in development by Numantian Games. The game is made to be challenging to new players and experienced veterans alike through simple game-play mechanics.
It was released on Steam Early Access on December 12, 2017, where Numantian allowed players to take part in the Survival Game Mode. This provided them great traction with the public and was widely appreciated as it was improved over time. The Campaign Game Mode, however, was what the game was technically made for; Survival Mode was an unintended bonus that helped get Numantian the backers required to make the game they had envisioned. They Are Billions was then officially released on June 18th, 2019, from Steam. Along with improvements to Survival Mode, the official campaign The New Empire was released to the public. Initial bugs and reviews of the campaign were negative but Numantian was quick to release patches and updates to try and bring the campaign into balance as well as releasing the Apocalypse game mode, their hardest difficulty yet.
