Radar Towers are a great way to track approaching hordes before they reach the colony, although they are far more expensive. Comparing to Lookout Towers, they have 66% longer watch range, covering a 178% larger area. Unlike Lookout Towers, they have a serious maintenance cost of 30 gold.
Can be built directly or Upgraded from Lookout Towers. Note that upgrading it doesn't need Foundry, if you get the research from Mayor Marcellus Quiroz.
Radar Towers can be found across the map as ruined buildings.
